I can't believe it's been so long since my last post. Many things have changed and many have remained the same. The biggest update is that after prayerful consideration, I resigned from my old job and took an opportunity with Emily Kai Company. This decision wasn't easy and the new job certainly isn't easy either, but it's rewarding when you're doing something you truly love! For those of you that get my invites to my fb biz page "Amy's EK" ...please note that I'm not trying to get you to buy something from me, I'm simply trying to help the company grow to generate brand awareness. I truly appreciate your kind support. Seriously, it's very much appreciated!
The kids are growing like crazy and I've opted to go ahead and send Gabe to Kindergarten in the fall. His pre-k teacher thinks he's ready, and we think he'll be ok. Olivia is so excited to have her little brother at school with her.
Dan has a new awesome hobby, his Big Green Egg. Yes, it's a real thing (think a Weber grill but way better). It's a smoker and he's made many delicious meals on it. We are trying to eat at home more because simply, you can't get good food out (unless it's a nice restaurant) and why waste our money on Qdoba, Firehouse Subs, Jimmy John's, etc.
We still have a ymca membership, but I long to get back there on a consistent basis. One thing at a time, eh.
I'm the new member chair for Junior League Fort Wayne. I absolutely love being a part of Junior League! Philanthropy at its finest!
I'm still the Welcome Committee Chair at church. This volunteer position has been incredible in so many ways. God has certainly put us right where we need to be. I've prayed for God to give me an open heart to his will for me and it's been one crazy faith filled journey.
Well, it's getting late, but a new blog post was weighing heavy on my heart and I just wanted to update all of you.
